Continuing R Kelly's public sexual history which dates back to 1991 when several underage girls claimed to have had sex with him, a video tape was released in February 2002 that allegedly showed Kelly and a 14-year-old daughter of an associate engaging in sex and numerous other acts, including the girl being urinated on.

The Chicago Sun Times was the newspaper that broke the story after the tape had been sent to them by an unknown source. Bootleg copies of the tape soon became widely available over the internet and in June 2002, Kelly was indicted in Chicago for 72 counts of soliciting a minor for child pornography, seven counts of videotaping the acts, and seven counts of producing child pornography. A trial date has still not been set.
